It was cool and wet in Salem this morning, but that didn't slow down or dampen the enthusiasm of the hundreds who turned out for the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis 5K.

I'm not sure what I expected, but I was surprised by what I felt when I saw all those folks. It's a very humbling thing to see all those people coming together to step up and walk the walk. They're not big on talking the talk, just on getting together to support each other and raise funds. I'll have more pics and videos later.
Toward the end of the walk we Passed the Oregon WWII Monument.
And later, Mom and I drove up to Portland to meet a blog reader and his wife (also a reader, I should probably say two blog readers...) for a wonderful lunch in a great restaurant.
So another long day, but a good one. However, I am bushed. In a good way!
