Situation normal...

All fouled up...

Not really.

No riots here, just a lot of physical labor.

I was serious bout the path forward for this dying nation. The required chemotherapy includes people determining to fix themselves by embracing liberty and the personal responsibility of liberty.

What did ya'll do with your stimulus check? That's kind of a litmus test. Free money, right? Bread and circuses anyone? I returned mine and it wasn't that hard.

What? You gave it back?

Yes. It was just printed money. Remember "wheelbarrow of marks for a loaf of bread?"

What's the right thing to do? What's the best thing to do for the best reasons?

People at liberty should do the hard work of doing for themselves, including developing and hewing to a set of reasoned principles. Those who live in the United States of America and desire to be citizens of that nation should be doing for themselves rather than operating as NPC's according to government/media programming. That's just a fact.

So a good question is this -- Am I working hard at being at liberty or not?

It's not a good sign if lots and lots of television talk erupts from one's cake hole.

But all of that is just me and my path. I don't like the stale bread and elephant shit. YMMV.

Chicken morning...

Pigeons, yuck!

Checking cows...

Mulch, dog food, chicken food...

I got a mickdonbals for lunch while I was in the big sity, but I didn't get any images. Slurped it down too fast. Sometimes a qp mit queso hits the spot.

The many faces of the WesternMeadowlark...

Be well and embrace the blessings of liberty.

  1. I have to wait to watch your videos; our internet connection is so lame that watching them interferes with her working on her computer ( she is working from home today ). In the mean time I can enjoy the bird photos. By the way, in the penultimate bird photo, it looks as though the bird is looking toward you; I thought that prey animals could not see straight ahead but in an 180 degree arc on each side of the head. Am I mistaken or does that 180 degree arc include seeing straight ahead? Or something else altogether.

    Thanks for the post.

    1. It's a good question and I don't have a definitive answer. Looks to me like he's probably only pointing his beak at the camera rather than looking (or seeing!). I'd say he's got preyvision.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting Paul!

  2. IIRC, their field of vision overlaps something like 15*~20*, so they have a certain amount of straight-ahead vision.

My wife got all excited we each received the max amount. We really don't "need" the money, so I suggested we donate some of it to a worthy cause.

Hers went to Macy's, and some of mine went to the Battleship Iowa Museum, who's having a difficult time due to the virus thing causing them to be shut down.

And the Salvation Army got a nice chunk, too.

    2. Makes sense, they have to aim their beak at seeds and a certain amount of bugs.

As with everything else in life there's no one size fits all solution to any societal situation. The whole notion of a non-pH litmus test is bullshit, so I'm guilty of casting feces from my glass house. Turns out i'm an ape-lizard!

  3. Shaun...Opinions are rather like anal orifices (everyone has at least one). You're entitled to yours as I am mine. We happen to disagree on your view of the state of the nation. Yeah, we're a sick nation and won't get better until there is a change in national leadership (both parties). I'm a lifelong unaffiliated registered voters - don't much care for either the R's or D's. I lean more toward being a Libertarian.
Yes, I too embrace and value the blessings of Liberty...not just the current Trump version. Where is a leader when we need one?

    1. It's more than I can do to lead myself so I can't get caught up in the fad of media selected leaders. They're just a symptom. I'd give a hell of a lot to get a peek at a 2120 published history book. We vewy special 'merkins are going to be savaged, and rightly so.
