Just a couple of degrees

The last two days were delightful. Filled with sunshine and balmy springtime warmth. Featuring gentle breezes that carried the blissful scents of growing things and musical birdsong.

Today was different.

We had a similar weather change a year ago to the day. However, the air temperature was 38 degrees 12 months ago, rather than the 28 degrees of today, and we received an inch of cold rain rather than a foot of blizzardly snow.

I love this more than I can say. Springtime moisture puts a song in my heart, even when it comes as snow.

  1. I remember back in the day the farmers used to call late spring snow storms "poor man's fertilizer."

  2. We had a sleet storm Wednesday, so I, it being my day off, just holed up in my burrow, and read. When I woke up this afternoon, I picked up where I left off, and started by reading the Book of Matthew, which is timely, this being the Holiest week of the year.

    1. Good holy week reading. Nothing better than holing up and reading when the weather outside is frightful.
