Busy

The cows are keeping me hopping. There are four calving as I write this near sundown, and it's supposed to snow tonight.

Here are a few pictures and a couple of videos.

  1. I bet the cow that gave birth to that grouse was sure surprised!

    1. It's a bad angle and hard to get the scale, but that's actually a hen pheasant. You don't see it often but sometimes they take a notion to sit on a fence wire.

    1. Cows are having babies, as are the antelope, and the birds are busy breeding and nesting. Should only be 2-3 more snowstorms!

  3. 757 seems like a grouchy sort of cow. Do you call her Boeing?

    1. Nope, just 757. I did call her sister 737 Jet though. She's actually got a great cow disposition. Very protective of her calf but not so protective she'll kill me. Which is important.
