Not just a morning garden update

It wasn't the worst half-baked notion of all time, but as I noted yesterday, a daily garden update is gonna be about as exciting as watching cars rust. So I'm gonna have to put in the work to post interesting stuff and come up with fun and descriptive post titles.

##########

Yesterday, the 246th birthday of our nation, was a wonderful day. I took the kids stock tank swimming, we chased chickens and checked cows, then came home to do fun stuff in the front yard with a bunch of neighborhood kids. It just doesn't get any better than that.

Let's see, what do we have here?

Hey, do your grownup stuff!

So refreshing and relaxing!

##########

Swings are big fun.

Sprinkler running is a big attraction.

As is ladybird capturing.

The engineer worked hard on a project...

And despite some assistance...

Triumphed!

##########

And not a lick of gardening. It's really impossible to describe how wonderful the day was.

##########

Be well and embrace the blessings of liberty.

  1. Fun times, indeed. Savor them while they last.
Mr. Good Vibes seems to have picked up some Red Adair firefighting tips what with the shield and than capping the source. Typical guy!
Meanwhile, Sis is all nurturing and caring for the Lady Bug.

Thanks for sharing fun times like this.
    John Blackshoe.

PS- you have FIVE in a row!!!!

    1. That savoring thing is important. The boy just loves to tinker and 'speriment. When he got the sprinkler capped he was so pleased with himself. He did all the thinkin' and plannin' and executin' himself, had a few errors along the way and had to navigate "girl help" but he got it done! And as you noticed, the little one was busy making a little house for the ladybug, complete with a seashell bathtub and flowers. Somewhere along the way the ladybug disappeared, but "she knows where her house is now." Thanks for stopping by and commenting John!
